  • Total Time: 5 minutes
  • Yield: 2 glasses of iced matcha latte 1x

Description

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 teaspoons matcha powder
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons hot water
  • 1 cup warm water
  • Ice
  • Milk of choice, (I used almond milk)

Instructions

  • Create the matcha paste: In a measuring cup or bowl, add the matcha powder. Pour in 1 to 2 tablespoons of hot water and whisk vigorously until the matcha completely dissolves into the water, forming a smooth paste with no lumps.
  • Dilute and chill: Pour in the remaining 1 cup of water and mix well. Transfer the matcha mixture to the fridge or freezer and let it chill for about 15 minutes – this step is crucial for the best flavor and texture.

  • Assemble your drinks: Fill two glasses with ice, then add your milk of choice until each glass is about 3/4 full. Add simple syrup to taste if you prefer a sweeter drink. Finally, pour the chilled matcha mixture into each glass and give it a good stir to combine everything perfectly.

Notes

  • Milk Options for this matcha latte: Soy Milk, Oat Milk, Almond Milk, Cashew Milk or Cow’s Dairy Milk.
