Instructions

Step‑by‑Step Instructions for Poison Apple Pie

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line your baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • In a stand mixer, cream the butter with granulated and brown sugars until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes. Add the vanilla and egg, mixing until combined.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, black cocoa, cornstarch, salt, baking soda, and baking powder. Gradually add to the wet ingredients until a sticky dough forms.
  • Fold in the white chocolate chips and Halloween M&Ms using a rubber spatula until evenly distributed.
  • Using a cookie scoop, drop 3-tablespoon sized balls onto prepared baking sheets, spacing them at least 2 inches apart. Dot the tops with extras of what you mixed in.
  • Bake for about 12 minutes until puffy but soft in the center. Allow to cool for 5 minutes on baking sheets before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

For better incorporation, ensure butter and egg are at room temperature. Chill the dough for 30 minutes for shape retention when baking.
