  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9×13-inch baking dish lined with parchment paper.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt until thoroughly combined. Set aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl, use an electric mixer to cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar for 3-4 minutes until light and fluffy.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract until well blended.
  • Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined; avoid overmixing.
  • Gently fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
  • Press half of the dough evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  • Drizzle the caramel sauce over the pressed dough and spread it out evenly.
  • Drop spoonfuls of the remaining dough on top of the caramel layer, spreading it to cover as much as possible.
  • Bake for 25–30 minutes until the top is golden brown, ensuring the edges are firm but the center remains soft.
