Step‑by‑Step Instructions

  • Start by bringing a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add dry macaroni and cook until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Reserve the pasta water, then drain the macaroni.
  • In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic, chopped onion, and bell peppers. Sauté for about 4-5 minutes until softened.
  • Add lean ground beef to the skillet. Cook for 5-7 minutes, breaking it apart with a spoon. Drain excess fat and season with salt, pepper, paprika, and chili flakes to taste.
  • Reduce heat to low and stir in cream cheese, shredded mozzarella, and cheese slices. Continue stirring until the cheeses melt into a creamy sauce.
  • Add the drained macaroni back into the skillet with the reserved pasta water. Toss together for 1-2 minutes, adjusting sauce thickness as needed.
  • Remove from heat, transfer to serving bowls, and garnish with fresh parsley. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

You can substitute lean ground beef with turkey or chickpeas. Ensure pasta is cooked al dente to avoid mushiness.
