Step‑by‑Step Instructions

  • Press the Tofu: Wrap the extra-firm tofu in paper towels and place a heavy object on it for at least 30 minutes.
  • Prepare the Tofu: Cut pressed tofu into bite-sized cubes.
  • Coat the Tofu in Cornstarch: Toss tofu cubes in cornstarch until well-coated.
  • Prepare the Honey Garlic Sauce: Whisk together soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, garlic, ginger, red pepper flakes, and sesame oil.
  • Fry the Tofu Until Crispy: Heat oil in a pan and fry tofu for 6-8 minutes until golden brown.
  • Add Tofu to the Honey Garlic Sauce: Drizzle sauce over tofu in the pan and toss to coat for 2-3 minutes.
  • Garnish and Serve: Transfer to a dish and sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.
