Batter

  • 3 bananas ripe, mashed for natural sweetness and moisture

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  • In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas. Add melted vegan butter, maple syrup, almond or oat milk, and vanilla extract; mix well.
  • In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
  • Gradually combine the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients, stirring gently.
  • Fold in rolled oats.
  • In a small bowl, mix melted vegan butter, light brown sugar, and cinnamon for the swirl.
  • Layer half of the banana bread batter in the loaf pan, drizzle with half of the cinnamon swirl, and then add the remaining batter and swirl.
  • Bake for 45 to 55 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  • For the glaze, whisk together powdered sugar, melted vegan butter, and softened vegan cream cheese until smooth.
  • Drizzle the glaze over the cooled bread and serve.

Notes

Store any leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or freeze slices for up to a month.
