Cheese Layer

  • 8 ounces Provolone cheese Creamy and melty, can substitute mozzarella.

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, pour in the olive oil. Once shimmering, add green bell pepper, onion, and mushrooms. Sauté for about 5 minutes.
  • Add thinly sliced roast beef to the skillet with the sautéed vegetables. Sprinkle garlic powder, salt, and pepper evenly. Stir well and cook for an additional 3-5 minutes.
  • Lay out slices of provolone cheese on a flat surface for easy assembly.
  • Scoop a portion of the filling onto each provolone slice and roll tightly.
  • Place the assembled roll-ups seam-side down in a baking dish and bake for about 10 minutes.
  • Let the roll-ups sit for a few minutes after baking before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Freeze individual roll-ups for up to 2 months. Reheat at 350°F for 10-15 minutes or use a microwave in intervals until warmed through.
