Step-by-Step Instructions

  • Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the bunch of asparagus and sauté for about 3–5 minutes until it's crisp-tender. Transfer to a plate and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add 3 tablespoons of butter until melted. Season the chicken with salt and pepper, then cook for 3–5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken and set aside.
  • Add chopped garlic and red pepper flakes to the remaining butter in the pan. Sauté for about 1 minute until the garlic becomes fragrant.
  • Pour in ½ cup of chicken broth while scraping the browned bits from the bottom. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer and cook for about 5 minutes.
  • Stir in lemon juice, lemon zest, and fresh dill into the sauce. Add the asparagus back to the skillet, tossing gently to coat.
  • Distribute the chicken and asparagus onto plates. Serve immediately, allowing everyone to savor the fresh flavor explosion.

Notes

For best results, use fresh dill instead of dried and monitor the chicken closely to avoid overcooking.
