  • In a small pot, combine ¾ cup of sugar with ¾ cup of water. Place over medium heat, bring to a gentle boil, and let it simmer until slightly thickened.
  • In a large pitcher, pour in 1 ½ cups of freshly squeezed lemon juice. Add cooled syrup and 4 cups of cold water, mixing well.
  • To serve, fill glasses with ice, pour the lemonade over, and garnish with a lemon slice.

Notes
