  • 1 cup Warm honey for drizzling
  • 1 cup Toasted sesame seeds for garnish and crunch

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  • Lay the first sheet of phyllo in the greased dish, brush with melted butter, and repeat with the remaining sheets.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine semolina flour, eggs, sugar, whole milk, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Whisk until smooth.
  • Pour the filling over the layered phyllo sheets and spread evenly with a spatula.
  • Drape the last sheet of phyllo over the filling, tuck edges down, and brush with melted butter. Score the top with a knife.
  • Bake for 40–45 minutes until the top is golden brown.
  • Cool for 10 minutes, drizzle with honey, and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  • Slice into squares and serve warm or at room temperature.

Notes

For the best taste, brush each phyllo layer with melted butter, keep phyllo covered to prevent drying, and let the pie cool before drizzling honey.
