  • 2 cups Broccoli florets fresh
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 4 cups Chicken broth for the base flavor
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper

  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese grated

Step-by-Step Instructions

  • In a large pot, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat.
  • Add the sliced chicken sausage to the pot, and cook for about 5-7 minutes until browned.
  • Stir in the minced garlic and sauté for an additional minute.
  • Toss in the broccoli florets and stir for 2-3 minutes until bright green.
  • Add orzo, chicken broth, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil.
  • Reduce to a simmer, cover, and cook for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Remove from heat and stir in the grated Parmesan cheese.
  • Spoon the dish into bowls and garnish with fresh parsley.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Reheat gently with a splash of broth.
