Step-by-Step Instructions for Million Dollar Lasagna

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Gather all your ingredients for assembly.
  • Boil salted water in a large pot and cook the noodles according to package instructions for 8-10 minutes, until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, brown the ground beef and Italian sausage over medium heat for about 10 minutes. Drain excess fat.
  • Add garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper to the meat. Stir and add marinara sauce; let simmer for about 5 minutes.
  • In a medium bowl, mix ricotta cheese, egg, and half of the grated Parmesan until creamy.
  • In the baking dish, spread a thin layer of meat sauce. Layer 4 noodles, half of the ricotta mixture, and a third of the mozzarella.
  • Add another layer of meat sauce, 4 noodles, remaining ricotta, and another third of mozzarella. Finish layers with meat sauce and the remaining mozzarella.
  • Sprinkle the last of the grated Parmesan over the top, cover with foil, and bake for 25 minutes.
  • Remove the foil and bake for an additional 20 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
