Ingredients

- 2 sheets pie crusts store-bought or homemade

- 1 cup shredded Mexican cheese
- 1 large egg for wash

- 1 cup salsa zesty companion for dipping
Instructions
Step‑By‑Step Instructions
- Heat a medium skillet over medium-high heat. Add your choice of lean ground beef, turkey, or chicken, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook for 5-6 minutes until browned, then stir in taco seasoning and optional veggies.
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
- Roll out pie crusts to about ⅛ inch thick. Use ghost-shaped cookie cutters to cut out the pie crust into ghost shapes.
- Place half of the ghost-shaped crusts on your baking sheets. Spoon taco filling into each ghost, adding shredded cheese on top.
- Use remaining cut-outs to create ghost faces and press edges down with a fork to seal the pies.
- Whisk egg with a splash of water or milk for an egg wash. Brush this over the tops of each ghost pie.
- Bake for about 10-14 minutes, until golden brown.
