Step-by-Step Instructions

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil. Add 8 oz of your favorite pasta and cook until al dente, approximately 8-10 minutes. Drain and reserve some pasta water.
  • While the pasta cooks, pat dry 2 chicken breasts and season with 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1 teaspoon onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  • In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon olive oil. Cook the seasoned chicken for 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Let rest before slicing.
  • In the same skillet, melt 2 tablespoon butter. Add ½ cup chicken broth and 1 cup heavy cream. Stir and simmer for 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.
  • Stir in the zest and juice of 1 lemon and ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese until the cheese melts and the sauce is smooth.
  • Add the drained pasta to the sauce, tossing gently to coat. Top with sliced chicken.
  • Serve warm garnished with chopped parsley.

Notes

Cook pasta al dente for the best texture. Let chicken rest after cooking for juiciness. Adjust lemon juice to taste and use reserved pasta water if sauce thickens too much.
